Scott Dolezal is based in the firm’s Chicago office.  Scott’s practice focuses on civil litigation, including the defense of complex local public entity, municipality, and labor and employment litigation, as well as the defense of construction, auto, and premises liability claims.  Scott practices in both state and federal courts.

Scott’s past experience includes the defense complex civil rights, municipal liability, employment, and commercial matters.  Scott has experience defending construction, premises liability, medical malpractice, and property damage claims.  Scott has also drafted appellate briefs for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits and the Illinois Court of Appeals.     

Scott graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.  He obtained his law degree from American University in Washington, D.C.  While in law school, Scott worked for a well-respected plaintiff’s law firm that represented victims of international atrocities in U.S. courts.  

Scott is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of Illinois, and the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.  Scott has also been admitted pro hac vice in courts in Missouri and Michigan.
