Aisha Shotande is based in the firm’s Chicago office. Aisha’s practice focuses on civil litigation, including the defense of auto, truck, construction, and premises liability injury claims as well as the defense of municipality, and labor and employment litigation.

Aisha’s past experience includes involvement in the defense of injury cases arising from automobile and truck collisions, construction-site and premises incidents, discrimination, worker’s compensation, and civil rights violations.

Aisha graduated from the University of Florida with degrees in Criminology and Anthropology. Before attending law school she spent two years with the AmeriCorps Program, City Year Miami. She volunteered with high school students in low-income communities in Miami. She also performed beautification programs (such as painting murals and plating gardens) throughout the city.
She then obtained her law degree from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law with a concentration in Employment & Labor. While in law school, Aisha was the recipient of the Bar and Gavel Award, the Diversity Scholarship Foundation’s 2016 Bar Exam Preparation Scholarship, and earned a CALI award in International & Comparative Labor & Employment Law. Aisha also won the 2017 National Law Review student writing contest for her paper Delivering New Parental Leave in the Trump Era: Can It Be Born?
