James F. Best was profiled in the August 2018 edition of Leading Lawyers Magazine - Business Edition.

James Best, Lori Vanderlaan, and Alison Harrington were chosen by their peers as Illinois Leading Lawyers for 2015.  Leading Lawyers, a division of Law Bulletin Publishing Company, employs a four-phase selection process which begins with surveys mailed to lawyers across Illinois.  Leading Lawyers asks lawyers to identify whom among their peers they believe comprise the top lawyers within their respective region and/or area(s) of law, and only those lawyers who are most often recommended and later approved by the Leading Lawyer Advisory Board, are selected as Leading Lawyers.  Leading Lawyers comprise less than five percent of all lawyers licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Jim Best was selected as a Super Lawyer for the 10th consecutive year.  Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a patented multiphase selection process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. 

Thomas Costello, Fritz Wilson, Christina Tribbia, and Susan Best have been recognized as Emerging Lawyers by the Leading Lawyers network.  This is a recognition that is determined from surveys of practicing attorneys across the state.  The Emerging Lawyer designation refers to lawyers under 40 or practicing less than 10 years who show promise to be tomorrow’s leading lawyers.  Less than 2% of lawyers in the state are selected as Emerging Lawyers.
