Sergio Navarrete is based in the firm’s Chicago office.  Sergio’s practice focuses on civil litigation, including the defense of auto, truck, construction, and premises liability injury claims as well as the defense of complex local public entity, municipality, and labor and employment litigation.

Sergio’s past experience includes government and legislative drafting and analysis for the City of Chicago Committee on Economic, Capital, and Technology Development. Sergio also has prior experience in plaintiff’s personal injury matters.

Sergio was recently named a 2023 Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation Leadership Academy Fellow. A program focused on recognizing and developing rising Latino leaders in Chicago.

Sergio graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Political Science. He obtained his law degree from UIC John Marshall Law School. While in law school, Sergio served as a clinical student for the Conflict Resolution Clinic where he acquired a mediation certification, helping draft and execute contracts in the Circuit Court of Cook County. He also served as a clinical student for the Veterans Legal Clinic focusing on assisting Veterans with acquiring improperly denied benefits through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and military discharge upgrades with various military boards.

Sergio is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, and the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago.
