Kimberly A. Carr

Kimberly Carr focuses her practice in traditional labor law and employment litigation and transactional matters, throughout the Chicagoland area and the State of Illinois. Kimberly is experienced in all facets of employment litigation, including sexual harassment, hostile work environment, retaliatory discharge, wrongful termination, and discrimination based upon sex, pregnancy, disability, age, race, national origin, sexual orientation and religion. Kimberly also handles matters involving ERISA, the Illinois Whistleblower Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. Kimberly is experienced in drafting and negotiating non-compete agreements, severance packages and executive compensation plans. Kim provides consulting and training services in the employment field, and counsels corporations on employment-related issues and workplace investigations.  Kim also has experience handing general civil litigation matters, including tort litigation, insurance coverage, personal injury matters, contract disputes, real estate/landlord-tenant issues and product liability. While practicing law, for several years Kim also served as an instructor of Constitutional Law for senior undergraduate students at Aurora University.

Kimberly received her Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Aurora University in Political Science, while also concentrating on American and European History. She then earned her Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law. While in law school, Kimberly was one of three first-place winners out of 360 entrants in the Charles Evans Hughes Moot Court Competition. Kimberly is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts of Illinois, as well as the Northern District of Indiana. Kimberly is an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association ("NELA" ) and the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and Will County Bar Association.

Kimberly is a member of School District 202’s Diversity Equity Action Board.
